News for Masters students

On the 18th of December Home Office announced that it will extend the Tier 4 visa pilot scheme for international Masters students willing to study the course of 13 month or less in the UK. The pilot was launched 2 years ago for four universities: Oxford, Cambridge, Bath and Imperial College London. This pilot was aimed to simplify the visa process for international Masters students and also support those who wish to switch to work visa after graduation giving them 6 extra months to find a job.  According to Tier 4 pilot visa scheme students will not need to submit financial documents or any previous academic qualifications. However, the applicant should have this documents ready in case Home Office requests them for any reason or as a part of random checks under the pilot. It is still a mandatory requirement to submit ATAS certificate and TB certificate as a part of the visa application.

For 2018/2019 the scheme will cover the additional 23 universities including 2 in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 in Northern Ireland.

Please note that under Tier 4 visa pilot scheme you can apply only for Masters courses of 13 months or less. Undergraduate and PhD students as well as students for Masters courses longer than 13 months should apply for regular Tier 4 visa and comply with standard immigration rules.
